To recap our earlier post, we are planning to upgrade DROID RAZR™ by Motorola, Motorola RAZR™, Motorola XOOM™ (including Family Edition) and DROID BIONIC™ by Motorola to Ice Cream Sandwich. We will provide more precise guidance on timing after post-public push of Ice Cream Sandwich by Google, as well as any possible additions to this list of devices: As always, please refer to the Motorola Android Software Upgrade News page for the latest information.

I know this is not going to do any good, other than to let me vent a bit. I bought an Atrix 4G a year ago. It was my first Motorola in about 6 years. My last Motorola phone was the original Razor. It always dropped calls, could never keep the battery charged, and would get hot. After over a dozen replacements I switched to another company’s regular phones. When I got my first smart phone it was an
iPhone 3 upgraded that to a iPhone 4, both phones got multiple os updates. When I saw the Atrix 4G and all the cool stuff it could do like the lap dock I got it. I later found out if you wanted to use the lap dock you had to pay extra for it, AT&T problem not yours, I was very disappointed. Then Ice Cream Sandwich was released and Motorola promised that the Atrix 4G would be getting that update in Q3. In August I called Motorola to find out when the update was coming since it was halfway through Q3 already. Was told it was coming soon. Called agin in mid September. Was told its in development. I called tonight to find out you are not going to update it. If I had known that Motorola was not going to support the Atrix 4G through at least the end of my contract I would have never bought it. Google even said all Android phone will be updated for 18 months but you are not even following their guidelines. Because of this failure I will NEVER buy another Motorola branded product again.
